Privacy policy
Effective 23 August 2026
This site is a set of static pages built from a public dataset. It has no accounts, no login, and no forms — there is nothing here to submit information to.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, receive, or store any personal information about you. There is no registration, no newsletter signup, no search box that reaches our servers, and no mechanism for entering symptoms, conditions, or personal details. None will be added. Aggregate analytics are covered separately below, and only run with your consent.
Nothing you read here is health information about you. Which procedures you look at, which hospitals you open, and which region you browse are not recorded against you, profiled, or sold by us.
The one thing stored on your device
If you switch between light and dark themes, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site does not flash the wrong colours next time. It never leaves your device, is not a cookie, and is not transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not load unless you accept it. If you decline, or have not chosen, no analytics script is requested, no analytics cookie is set, and nothing is sent to Google.
When it is enabled, it records the usual web measurements — pages viewed, approximate location by country or city, device and browser type, and how you arrived. IP addresses are anonymised. We use it to understand which guides are useful, not to identify you.
You have not made a choice yet.
Hosting
Pages are served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address in order to deliver them and to protect the site from abuse. Every web host must do this. Cloudflare acts as our infrastructure provider, and its handling of that data is governed by its own privacy terms.
Advertising
This site is funded by advertising and may display ads served by Google AdSense and its partners.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads here and may use cookies or similar technologies to do so.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
Advertising and health — an explicit commitment
Given what this site is about, one point deserves stating plainly rather than burying in a clause.
Reading a page about a medical procedure is not a statement that you have a condition. We do not treat browsing on this site as health data about a visitor, we do not build audience segments from it, and we pass no interest, condition, or treatment signal derived from your browsing to any advertiser or ad network. We have no mechanism to do so and will not add one.
Consent, where it applies
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising and analytics cookies are set only where you have consented, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie controls on this site.
If you email us
If you write to info@koreamedicalprices.com, we hold your message and address for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add you to any list or use your address for anything else.
Please do not send medical records or personal health information. We cannot advise on individual cases, and we would rather not hold that data at all.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Since we hold nothing about site visitors, in practice this applies only to correspondence you have sent us. Write to the address above and we will action it.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. It is a reference publication for adults researching medical costs.
Third-party links
Hospital websites linked from these pages are operated by those institutions under their own privacy practices. Links are provided so you can verify a price at its source.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version. See also the terms of use and the medical disclaimer.
